¶ Logging in to Movim, our chat site
This service is scheduled to go live in March 2025.
Once you have enabled your login in the control panel, you can login by visiting https://im.mayfirst.org/.
This is the only May First service that requires you to login with a username and a domain. You address, also known as a "JID" is your username followed by
@mayfirst.org, e.g. if your username isjamie-test, you would login withjamie-test@mayfirst.org
¶ Start a chat
To start chatting, click the orange plus button at the bottom of the screen.
Then, you can either create a chat room (and invite your friends), or, at the bottom of the screen, type someone's XMPP chat address and make a request to chat with them.
