You can set disk space quotas for User Accounts, Mailboxes, Nextcloud users, or MySQL databases.
Log in to the May First control panel with administrative access.
Navigate to the hosting order that contains the resource item whose disk space you want to adjust.
Choose the corresponding tab below for more instructions and a preview of editing each item type in the control panel.
In the left hand column, click on the 'User Account' tab.
Click the blue edit button to the right of the username whose disk space quota you wish to change.
Contact support if you would like to allocate more than 50gb to a User Account.
In the left hand column, click on the 'Mailbox' tab.
Click the blue edit button to the right of the username whose disk space quota you wish to change.
Legacy mailbox disk quotas must be controlled through the user account instead. If the 'Quota allocated' field does not appear try editing the corresponding User Account item.
Contact support if you would like to allocate more than 50gb to a mailbox.
In the left hand column, click on the 'Nextcloud' tab.
Click the blue edit button to the right of the username whose disk space quota you wish to change.
Contact support if you would like to allocate more than 50gb to a Nextcloud account.
In the left hand column, click on the 'MySQL database' tab.
Click the blue edit button to the right of the username whose disk space quota you wish to change.
Contact support if you would like to allocate more than 3gb to a MySQL database.
Change the value in the Quota allocated field to the total amount of space you want allocated to this account.
Write the total size as a number followed by a suffix of kb (kilobytes), mb (megabytes), or gb (gigabytes).
Example: 5gb = 5 gigabytes.
If increasing disk quota ensure that you have sufficient free unallocated space by checking the membership disk quota monitor.
The "Setting the quota for this item exceeds your membership quota" message means you do not have sufficient unallocated space for the amount you want to assign. You may need to expand your total membership disk quota before making this change.
The membership administrative contact will receive an automatic e-mail notification when the total amount of disk space used for this resource reaches a threshold percentage of the space allocated.
You can change that threshold value in the Notification percent field.
You can optionally set a value in the Notification date field to postpone notifications until that date.
