The Nextcloud Teams group sharing function was formerly called Circles
Our Nextcloud instance is a common resource for all May First members and this has important implications for how members share their Nextcloud resources through groups called Teams.
Please read through the following recommendations before creating a new Team and or editing your Team's configuration options.

Because user accounts from other May First memberships also share the same server, these accounts can potentially join Teams together. This is very useful for May First internal organizing as it gives us an easy way to share Nextcloud resources with members who would like to participate. If you would like your group to be visible to all May First users and potentially joined by people outside your organization we recommend these options.

The password will not apply to other Nextcloud users who are added directly as members of the Team. Direct members of the Team can still access these resources without a password.
The password only applies to e-mail contacts added to a Team. Links to files and folders will be automatically sent to these e-mail contacts when they are added to the team and you can enable this option to protect those links with a password. The password protection only works for files and folder and not for other Nextcloud resources.
